When I think of the most reliable things in the entire world, I think of the way ice cream tastes on a hot day, how my rent goes up year after year, my ability to self sabotage, and Ture Waji’s ability to produce excellent coffees. The scale of those last two are truly magnificent. In just this last year you may recognize Bookkisa, Bogalech, and Sookoo– all coffees produced by the man dubbed the “King of Guji.” Our guy produces a huge percentage of the Ethiopian coffee we carry year after year, and what makes this so fun is that right now he’s upstairs cupping with the team (I got invited, I’m just really busy. They didn’t exclude me. I DON’T have self esteem issues related to being excluded from things in my childhood, stop saying that!) Back to Ture. What can I say other than we’re really grateful to carry a selection of his delicious coffees, and we’re very excited to see what this relationship grows into going forward!
